Emerald Inn, Blythe at 1020 West Hobsonway, Blythe, California.

At first glance the outside looked OK. I thought this was going to be a decent night stay for the price. From the onset things were immediately disastrous. The male owner is rude, attentive, Full of attitude and just not nice. After looking around for other hotels unfortunately they were all booked so we had to resort to this place. After receiving the key for the room and entering the room stunk , The door although closed kept shaking and blowing open because of the wind outside and I could feel all the cold draft coming through the door. I've never felt outside air come through a hotel door before in my life and I've traveled the world. After settling for the space, we decided to shower. Very very very very very bad choice. The towels were discolored and full of stains, The bathroom....... it's too frustrating to even write anything about the bathroom. I went back to the front office and spoke to the male owner and informed him I needed new towels and with a blank uncaring stare he told me that they were clean but discolored due to the water in Blythe and him not having a water softener in his hotel. Now, If his towels are yellow when they're supposed to be white and him saying that their that color due to the water then how am I supposed to feel comfortable taking a shower? So I rolled the dice and took a chance and took a shower anyway. Very very very very very Bad choice. How is it that someone can shower and feel dirtier after they get out of the shower? My skin itches and the soap was super dry and the shampoo well I don't even think it was real shampoo because it smelled like laundry soap. So as I prepare for bed I am hopeful that there are no bugs in the sheets but I will be sleeping on top of them all and not underneath. I am a pretty happy person but must leave this honest review so hopefully the owners take heed and change a few things because people deserve to feel safe and clean in their hotel that they've paid decent money for. No, I didn't tell the owner about the door or the bathroom or the rug or the bed or the general cleanliness of the room because after he displayed such an uncaring attitude about the towels I figured it would be a waste of my time so I'll leave it here.
